Inspection, Testing & Examination of Engineering Control Equipment
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and general exhaust ventilation systems are types of engineering control measures commonly used in the workplace to manage exposure to chemicals hazardous to health. These systems must be examined and tested for effectiveness and efficiency at intervals not exceeding twelve months by a hygiene technician registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000 (USECHH)
